Θα έχει συνέχεια το Μαρούσι;

Βηματοδότης, Βήμα 5/12/06:

Ίσως οι γυναίκες ακυρώσουν την εκλογή δημάρχου στο Μαρούσι: τρεις Μαρουσιώτισσες, οι κυρίες Μαρία Γερασίμου, Σταυρούλα Δημάδη και Ιωάννα Πετροπούλου, κατέθεσαν στο Τριμελές Διοικητικό Πρωτοδικείο Αθηνών ένσταση κατά της εκλογής του δημάρχου κ. Γιώργου Πατούλη (είχε υποστηριχθεί από τη ΝΔ) και των δημοτικών συμβούλων του διότι ο συνδυασμός τους (Μαρούσι Ανθρώπινη Πόλη) περιελάμβανε «μικρότερο αριθμό γυναικών υποψηφίων συμβούλων από αυτόν που απαιτεί ο νόμος». Όπως αναφέρουν στην ένσταση, υπήρχαν μόνο 13 γυναίκες υποψήφιες σε σύνολο 50, δηλαδή ποσοστό 26% – ενώ ο νόμος επιβάλλει 33% των υποψηφίων να είναι γυναίκες. Αν γίνει δεκτή η ένσταση, τότε, σύμφωνα με τον νόμο, προκηρύσσονται και πάλι εκλογές – αλλά ο νικητής δήμαρχος δεν μπορεί να συμμετάσχει. Ας πρόσεχε, περιφρονούν έτσι τις κυρίες;

Vimatodotis, Vima (December 5, 2006):

Women may cause the nullification of the election of the Mayor in Marousi by the court: Three citizens of Marousi, Mrs Maria Gerasimou, Mrs Stavroula Dimadi and Mrs Ioanna Petropoulou, have filed a law suit to the relevant civic court in Athens challenging the election of the Mayor Mr. George Patoulis (who was supported by the party of New Democracy) and his municipal councilors, because their ticket (Marousi, a Human City) included “a smaller number of women candidates than it is required by the law”. As it is mentioned in the law suit, there were only 13 women candidates (out of a total of 50 candidates in the ticket), representing a percentage of 26% – while the law requires that 33% of the candidates of any ticket should be women. If the law suit is successful, then, according to the law, there will be a new election in which the winner Mayor can not participate!
